Tour de piste et ballade à Calabogie
Ian Firth membre de RSR depuis plusieurs années, planifie de combiner une ballade et un tour de piste pour Calabogie Motorsports samedi le 6 août. L’année dernière, un événement similaire jusqu’au circuit Mont-Tremblant avait été un succès avec un total de 31 voitures participantes. Cette année, Ian veut répéter l’expérience mais jusqu’à Calabogie Motorsports à Calabogie, ON. Une fois sur place, tout le monde aura la chance de conduire leur voiture sur la piste et ainsi expérimenter ce que nos membres DE vivent, mais à une vitesse moindre. Le point de rencontre est au Starbucks du Pinecrest Mall à 7h25 le jour de l’événement avec un arrêt en route pour déjeuner et pour dîner autour de 13h30. Balade déjeuner/brunch aux 1000 Islands
Louise Lawrence et Bruno Bastien, deux membres Rennsport, organisent une balade déjeuner/brunch jusqu'aux 1000 Islands le samedi 27 août. Cette balade mènera les membres jusqu'à Gananoque lors d'un parcours sur l'autoroute des 1000 Islands, une route avec vue sur l'eau, pour finalement s'arrêter au restaurant Ivy Lea à Lansdowne, ON. Une fois sur place, un déjeuner/brunch sera servi sur le patio de l'élégant restaurant cottage situé au bord du majestueux fleuve Saint-Laurent. RSVP: Bruno Bastien, bruno@944s.ca

Cours de techniques de conduit au Circuit Mont-Tremblant et à Calabogie Motorsports (commandités respectivement par GroupEurosport & Mark Motors)
Beaucoup de nos membres vous diront que les cours de techniques de conduite sont parmi les événements les plus agréables du club. Ces événements offrent aux membres une belle opportunité d’en apprendre plus sur leur conduite de même que sur la physique du comportement de leur voiture et ce, dans l’environnement relativement sécuritaire d’un circuit fermé. Des instructeurs expérimentés du club mettent l’accent sur le développement des habiletés et sur la pratique, tout en maintenant un haut niveau de sécurité et de contrôle. Même si ces événements ont lieu sur des circuits professionnels, leur but n’est pas la vitesse ou la course mais bien d’avoir du plaisir et d’améliorer ses habiletés dans un environnement fermé. Les membres qui prévoient venir à un événement de conduite sont fortement encouragés à suivre une de nos sessions théoriques gratuites qui ont lieu au début du printemps à Montréal, Québec et Ottawa. Calabogie Coffee Run & Track Tour
Longtime RSR member Ian Firth is planning a combined coffee run and track tour up to Calabogie Motorsports on Saturday, August 6th.
Last year’s coffee run to Le Circuit Mt.Tremblant was tremendously successful with a total of 31 cars showing up for the event. This year, Ian plans
to repeat last year’s successful run but to Calabogie Motorsports in Calabogie,ON. Once there, everybody will get to drive their car on the racetrack and get a taste of what our DE members enjoy but at a much slower pace. A driver’s meeting will take place at 7:25 a.m. on the day of the event at the Starbucks in the Pinecrest Mall in Nepean,ON with a stop for breakfast en route and lunch planned around 1:30 p.m.

1000 Islands Breakfast/Brunch Coffee Run
Fellow Rennsport members Louise Lawrence and Bruno Bastien are organizing a scenic breakfast/brunch & coffee run down to the 1000 Islands on Saturday, August 27th. This run will take members to Gananoque with a waterfront drive down the 1000 Island Parkway and finally, to the Ivy Lea Restaurant in Lansdowne, ON. Driver’s Education at Le Circuit Mont Tremblant & Calabogie Motorsports (Sponsored respectively by GroupEurosport & Mark Motors)
There are many members who will tell you that driver education events are some of the most enjoyable events in the club. These events offer members a great opportunity to learn more about their driving as well as the physics of car behaviour in the relatively safe environment of a closed road course.  Experienced club instructors emphasize skill development and practice, while maintaining a high level of safety and self-control. Although these events are held on professional race tracks, they are not about racing or speed but simply about having fun and improving your driving skills in a safe and closed environment. Members who plan on coming out to a driving event are strongly encouraged to attend one of our free driving theory sessions held in the early spring in Montreal, Quebec, and Ottawa.
