Offered for sale is my 1980 911SC Targa. This is a Canadian-market car with a metric speedometer that was originally sold in Toronto, and has remained in Canada its entire life. Engine is the stock 3.0 with its original CIS fuel injection and 5-speed 915 transaxle. Paint is an uncommon Light Blue Metallic paired with a dark blue partial leather interior. Current mileage is 189,000 km
I have owned it since 2012 and have made many upgrades and improvements to it, including the Euro H4 headlights, 16×8” genuine Fuchs rear wheels, WEVO 915 shifter, LED 3rd brake light, Bilstein HD shocks and struts, Turbo tie-rods, refurbished Targa top by Dan Petchel, new windshield and seal, and much more. Previous owners have done the expected SC-specific fixes like the airbox pop-off valve, upgraded chain tensioners and new clutch.
The car is professionally maintained by an Ottawa-area mechanic specializing in air-cooled Porsches. The engine has an oil change, valve adjustment and head stud inspection every year and is in excellent shape, as is the rest of the car. It needs nothing to be a great summer driver, but has the potential to be taken to the next level. I am a PCA member and regularly take the car on drives with fellow Ottawa members.
Price is $68k Canadian, which includes a brand-new set of Michelin Pilot Exalto performance tires, a set of 15” cookie-cutter alloys with new all-season tires, 3 extra steering wheels and assorted other small parts. I have detailed service records going back to 2000, with partial records from before that. I can also provide more photos and a pdf document with info on everything the car has, what’s been done during my ownership, what previous owners have done, as well as what is included in the sale.
